Garlana H. Mathews
Garlana H. Mathews established Select Marketing Services, Inc. in 2004. She has over 20 years of experience in the medical/recruiting industry. Her extensive Workers’ Compensation background in adjusting, billing and collections helped her to establish SelectOne Network, a preferred network of orthopaedic physicians for Workers Compensation in Georgia.
The creative team at SelectOne Network handles all phases of publication for Workplace Health magazine. The magazine, dedicated to safety and health in the workplace, is published 2 times a year to coincide with major industry conferences.
Garlana is an active member of Rotary Club, Lions Club, and Middle Georgia Employers Group. In addition, she serves on the Executive Boards of the Georgia Safety, Health, and Environmental Annual Conference. One of her most rewarding accomplishments has been creating and serving as event chair for The Ballroom Extravaganza, Savannah’s Premier Red Carpet event. This ballroom competition has raised over $500,000 for local charities since 2008! Garlana received the 2012 Community Star award from the Savannah Area Technical College Foundation Community Council for outstanding achievement in the community. She also headed a successful team for American Diabetes Association 2012 Kiss-a-Pig fundraiser called Savannah’s Got Talent!
Originally from Uvalda, GA, Garlana has lived in Savannah since 1991. She and husband Patrick have 2 sons, ages 11 and 14 and a daughter age 25. Garlana enjoys ballroom dancing, photography and fishing excursions with the family.
Michelle C. Wilds
Michelle brings 20 plus years in Human Resources, Safety, Contract staffing and security, Sales and Business Development. Michelle currently serves as Director-At-Large for Georgia SHRM and is a Certified Mine Safety and Health Instructor. Michelle and her husband live in Wrightsville, GA and have two sons and two granddaughters. She loves antiquing, riding motorcycles and traveling.
Ellen LaFurge Waller
Ellen’s experience in healthcare marketing for Physical Therapy networks has made her one of the most respected professionals in the industry in Georgia. She and Ed have 2 sons, a daughter, and 4 grandchildren. They were blessed with their first great-grandchild in 2013. Ellen enjoys reading, her dog Bella, and boating.
